What is a Duplo DC-645 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser?
The DC-645 will slit, cut, and crease a document in a single pass allowing you to create full-bleed documents such as brochures, postcards, business cards, greeting cards, etc. It was designed for the short-run output from any digital copier, printer or press.

Why would you need to crease a document?
For paper stock heavier than 80 lbs., you will need to crease the document prior to folding due to toner cracking on solid, toner-based digital color documents.
What is the maximum sheet size it will handle and up to what type of paper stock?
It will handle paper sizes from Width: 210mm - 370mm (8.26" x 14.56") and Length: 210mm - 650mm (8.26" x 25.59"), and stock from 30 lb. to 350gsm.
How does this machine handle gloss or coated stock?
The high capacity feeding system is vacuum feed; therefore, it will have no problem feeding these types of stocks.
How many sheets can you load into the high capacity feeder?
A 4" stack of paper can be loaded for convenience so the operator will not have to constantly reload the feeder.

The minimum finished size this machine will cut is 1.89" x 3.35".

How does the machine know where to cut, slit, and crease?
First, measure your cut, slit, and crease positions on the document then enter the measurements using the programming mode. A user-friendly optional PC and Job creator software is also available to help program jobs.

90 days electrical/mechanical parts, including labor, and one year on mechanical parts, excluding consumable items.
When will the slitters and knives need sharpening?
The slitters and the guillotine knife are self-sharpening. The slitters can process 1.5 million sheets and the guillotine knife 2 million cuts.
What is the main purpose of having a bar code reader?
A bar code will automatically recall a job and may be included during the job design process. It is a simple code 3 of 9 font that you can download from various websites. You can go to your favorite search engine and type "code 39 download." Some sites will charge a fee and some will let you download for free.
What does the barcode content contain?
The contents of the bar code should contain *(Job number)* For example: *14* (14 is the job number and make sure to include both*)
What is a registration mark for?
A registration mark helps correct any image shift from the printer and can be printed during the printing process on the leading edge of your document.
Are there sample templates available through Duplo?
Yes, Duplo can provide sample templates for pre-defined jobs that are programmed into the DC-645. The templates are in Adobe PageMaker format. Duplo also has samples that are in PDF Format so the samples can be opened with Acrobat Reader or Adobe Photoshop for editing. To edit, simply remove unwanted images then past desired text and images.
What is the monthly duty cycle on the DC-645?
