The imagePROGRAF with Colortrac Scanning System includes all components necessary to save scanned images to disc in various file formats, distribute them electronically, and copy large drawings quickly and accurately.

Great Media Handling
This system has solid-state optical document sensors, with auto size detection. Variable hold-down pressure handles virtually any document including flimsy tissues, creased maps, and thick cards. The side justified, straight through media path transports originals through the scanner at 0.1% +/- 1 pixel accuracy. Flexible document format up to 44" wide by unlimited length & 40" image width, which is ideal for most documents in the AEC, CAD, GIS, archive and reproduction markets. Documents are fed into the scanner from the front, side justified over a gently curved feed tray and detected by reliable, solid state optical sensors for optimum support and positioning of the original. Precision power rollers with 20 offset, dual independently suspended high grip contour rollers transport documents gently and accurately through the scanner. The standard hold down setting is pre-compressed for normal originals with gradually lower pressure settings available for high impact and scratch resistance-more than five times that of normal optical glass. Use Canon's large variety of media to make copies closely matching the original substrate.
Capture Fine Details
600 dpi focus Contact Image Sensors for fine image details, sharpness, and accuracy. Close-spaced, 600 dpi 'deep focus' contact image sensors achieve sharp, finely resolved monochrome and color images up to 2400 dpi maximum resolution. Documents can be quickly and easily reproduced with clarity, detail, and speed. High resolution 2400x1200-dpi printing, true 1200-dpi pitch and precise 4pl ink droplets are just part of what Canon can deliver.
User Intuitive Software
With two included software packages, SmartLF and CopySmart, everything one needs to create and edit large-format prints is at their fingertips. Smart LF is basic copy software with a simple, user-friendly interface that allows one to scan to file, scan to copy, and scan to email directly from the included PC. This software is designed for operation by non-specialists, but computer literate users. Simply select file, copy or email, the type of original to be scanned and a few other intuitive settings, place the original in the scanner and off you go! For the more advanced user, this integrated system also comes bundled with CopySmart which turns the system into a large-format digital copy system with image editing options. This software is designed with simplicity as a primary objective. CopySmart has a graphical user interface with a 'big button' philosophy. Consistent color quality and accurate reproduction of fine image detail is provided by the IT8 closed loop calibration that matches the scanner colors to the printer, ink, and media. Edit images with CMYK color controls, masking and text or bitmap insertion, zoom and crop, black and white points and brightness adjustment, sharpening features, add text to images, and much more. Supports a range of file formats including JPEG, TIFF, PDF, PCX, and DCX.
Exceptional Speeds
The Colortrac scanner can scan monochrome documents up to 10.1 inches per second, and color documents up to 3.36 inches per second. The imagePROGRAF iPF710 printer can print documents on Plain Paper up to 659 sfph at 1200x1200. On Glossy Photo Paper, it can print documents up to 115 sfph at 1200x1200 dpi, and 79 sfph at 2400x1200 dpi. (image size 33.11 x 46.81) These speeds will allow users to create high volume large-format prints day after day.
HDI Driver for AutoCAD
The Canon imagePROGRAF HDI Driver is a special HDI (Heidi Device Interface) compatible printer driver for the Autodesk, Inc. software applications for AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT architecture. This driver enables better line drawing rendition as well as faster processing speed. The HDI driver directly converts line drawing data from AutoCAD® into the printer's native data format, GARO. By skipping the GDI conversion process, the result is a far more efficient printing process, eliminating overhead process time while increasing the accuracy of drawing integrity.
