The imageRUNNER 1023N is designed with small businesses and workgroups in mind. Operating at speeds of up to 23 pages-per-minute (LTR), the imageRUNNER 1023N model supports digital copying, network printing, automatic duplexing, and color scanning features, along with the added convenience of a 50-sheet Duplexing Automatic Document Feeder.
The imageRUNNER 1023N provides a compact desktop design as well as all the functionality needed in a single multifunction solution. Plus, its expandable paper capacity helps maintain uptime for every user.

Operating at up to 23 pages-per-minute (LTR), the imageRUNNER 1023N is equipped with 128MB RAM. Exceptional memory capacity provides users with high-speed image processing of data and simultaneous processing of each function.
With a scanning resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, and print/copy resolution of enhanced 1200 x 600 dpi, the imageRUNNER 1023N delivers outstanding, exceptional image quality for the most faithful reproduction of text and images.
Standard TWAIN/WIA compliant color scanning enables users to convert hardcopy-based information into electronic format for storage or integration into your workflow.
Compact desktop design allows devices to be placed in areas with limited space. An integrated output tray saves space and organizes output for speedy distribution.

- Supported Applications
2-on-1 Image Combination
The 2-on-1 Image Combination mode uses the memory of the device to automatically reduce two originals to fit on one side of a selected paper size. The reduction ratio is automatically set so that the originals are able to fit on the selected paper size. This feature enables the user to save paper and time by shortening the amount of pages needed to print out a document.
Electronic Collating
With the device's Electronic Collating feature, up to 99 multi-page document sets are output in descending page order, one complete set at a time.
Network Printing Capabilities
The device comes standard with network printing, supporting PCL5e/6 and PS 3 emulation page description languages.
Scan Once Print Many
This technology permits the device to scan originals into memory only one time, producing multiple copies from the resident stored image. Since originals placed in the document feeder are processed only once, there is less wear and tear on the originals, document feeder and scan mechanisms. The result is a quieter, more productive system with less opportunity for a malfunction.
Trayless Duplexing
Canon's innovative application of standard "trayless" duplexing technology enables you to produce two-sided copied or printed output at the rated device speed. The duplexing feature is standard on the devices . These models are capable of the following duplex modes. 1 > 2-Sided, 2 > 2-Sided, Book > 2-Sided, 2 > 1-Sided.
Copy Reservation™
The Copy Reservation capability is ideally suited for driving enhanced throughput and productivity when copying. Using the Copy Reservation system, end users can scan copy jobs, complete with their settings into memory while a current copy or print job is being output. When the current job is complete, the reserved copy job will immediately start processing. This is a benefit to customers who use both printing and copying functions of the device.
Department ID Management
By storing a Department ID and Password for each department, you can set the device so that its functions can be used only after the correct password has been entered. This function also allows you to check print totals for each department, for management purposes, or to set an impression limit for each department.

- Braille Label Kit-A1
- The Braille Label Kit-A1 contains transparent Braille labels that affix to each hard key on the control panel except for the numeric keys. This is due to the conventional layout of the numeric keypad, which already has a protruded dot on the "five key," providing familiar entry for the visually impaired. This kit provides visually impaired users with improved access to copy and fax functions.
- The Braille Label Kit-A1 can be used with imageRUNNER devices, as well as some Color Laser Copiers, NP Copier products, and LASER CLASS Facsimile.
