- Features
Operating at 50 pages-per-minute (LTR), the imageRUNNER 5000V is equipped with a 5.1GB Hard Disk Drive and 192MB RAM, providing users with exceptional productivity and reliability.
With a scanning resolution of up to 600 x 600 dpi, enhanced copy resolution of up to 1200 x 600 dpi, and enhanced print resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi, the imageRUNNER 5000V delivers superior quality for the faithful reproduction of text and images.
An LCD Touch Panel Display and intuitively designed device drivers provide user-friendly operation for both walk-up and remote users.
With its standard Automatic Document Feeder, the imageRUNNER 5000V makes quick work of multi-paged, double-sided and mixed-size originals. It can handle up to 100 originals and can accept paper weights up to 32lb. Bond.
Users can add the optional Finisher-F1 (REM) for any corner or side margin stapling capabilities. The Finisher-F1 can also be configured with a hole punch unit for more advanced document finishing.
With a standard paper capacity of 4,150 sheets the imageRUNNER 5000V can meet the requirements of large corporate departments.
The Mail Box function of the imageRUNNER 5000V serves as a centralized system for information-sharing, on-site document storage and print-on-demand applications.
Standard network printing capabilities can benefit multiple users in a shared environment. This feature delivers printing capabilities with support for PCL 5e/6 and PostScript® 3™ emulation.
Pull hardcopy-based information into existing electronic workflows with the standard Network ScanGear utility.
Optional eCopy support is available for advanced document distribution capabilities.
With Remote UI, features and functions of the imageRUNNER 5000V are controlled and accessed right from a desktop.
The imageRUNNER 5000V device's manufacturing status as an imageRUNNER Factory-produced New Model helps reduce waste and conserve natural resources. An imageRUNNER Factory-produced New Model is manufactured by converting an existing Canon product into a new model. This model contains new, reconditioned, or recovered parts and fully meets Canon’s new product performance and reliability specifications.
- Supported Applications
Booklet Mode
With Booklet Mode, after selecting the original and output paper sizes, set quantities, and other features such as covers, the system counts and reorders the pages for proper placement on duplexed output.
Copy Reservation™
The Copy Reservation function is ideally suited for driving enhanced throughput and productivity when copying. Using the Copy Reservation system, end users can scan copy jobs, complete with their settings into memory while a current copy or print job is being output. Up to 5 copy jobs can be stored to Image Server memory at a time. This is a significant benefit to high-volume application environments and to customers who use both copying and printing functions of the device.
Mailbox Functionality
The Mailbox function enables users to create up to 100 individual repositories for their documents on the imageRUNNER device's internal Image Server. Documents may be stored in a user mailbox for a couple of days or permanently. This functionality not only gives users the ability to scan and store documents, but also allows print jobs to be sent to a mailbox and combined with other documents for uniform output.
Job Build
Job Build allows users to combine or "build" batches of originals from different sources including feeder and platen-based originals into one job, eliminating the need to hand-marry the output. Hardcopy originals with total page quantities that exceed the Document Feeder's 100-sheet capacity can also be scanned in batches of 100 sheets (or 200 sides). The number of pages that can be combined in Job Build mode are limited only by the amount of available memory on the machine.
Network ScanGear
Network ScanGear is a 32-bit TWAIN-compliant scanner driver that is bundled with the imageRUNNER device. It enables the device to act as a scanner. Using an imageRUNNER device with Network ScanGear, users can scan documents from the platen glass or feeder for transmission over the network to their desktop or a fileserver. Scanned images can then be manipulated as needed at the user's workstation with any 32-bit TWAIN-compliant software application, including PhotoShop, Omni Page, Text Bridge, Microsoft Word, and others.
Scan-Once-Print-Many
Scan-Once-Print-Many technology permits the device to scan originals into memory only one time, producing multiple copies from the resident stored image. Since originals placed in the document feeder are processed only once, the result is less wear and tear on the originals, document feeder and scan mechanisms. The result is a quieter, more productive system with less opportunity for a malfunction.

- Braille Label Kit-A1
- The Braille Label Kit-A1 contains transparent Braille labels that affix to each hard key on the control panel except for the numeric keys. This is due to the conventional layout of the numeric keypad, which already has a protruded dot on the "five key," providing familiar entry for the visually impaired. This kit provides visually impaired users with improved access to copy and fax functions.
- The Braille Label Kit-A1 can be used with imageRUNNER devices, as well as some Color Laser Copiers, NP Copier products, and LASER CLASS Facsimile.
