Overview

The imageRUNNER 5075 device has been infused with the latest Canon technology and security advancements to meet the expanding needs of today's high-volume departments and light production environments.

The imageRUNNER 5075 device is powered by Canon's imageCHIP system architecture, featuring exceptional multifunctional performance and reliability. The imageRUNNER 5075 offers a full range of document handling capabilities such as a standard Single Pass Duplex Scanner/Feeder, saddle stitch finishing, 2/3-hole punching, and a Document Insertion Unit with the ability to "C" and "Z" fold documents. There's also support for advanced digital copying, network scanning, Mail Box features, as well as a choice between two print controller options, single-line fax capabilities, and the ability to distribute electronic information across a digital landscape with Universal Send.

Features

Operating at up to 75 pages-per-minute, the imageRUNNER 5075 is equipped with a 40GB Hard Disk Drive and 1GB RAM, providing users with exceptional productivity and reliability

Available support for actual 1200 x 1200 dpi* print resolution and Canon's exclusive Fine Character and Edge Technology (FCET) for outstanding image quality on every page.

Incorporating Canon's MEAP™ (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) architecture, the imageRUNNER 5075 device applications can be customized to meet unique business needs. The customized applications run from the imageRUNNER 5075 control panel streamlining document workflows.

The color user interface panel and intuitively-designed device drivers provide user-friendly operation for both walk-up and desktop environments.

Standard Single Pass Duplex Scanner/Feeder that scans both sides of originals simultaneously at fast scan speeds of up to 100-images per minute and a document feeding capacity of up to 100 sheets.

Advanced document finishing capabilities with support for single and multi-position stapling, 50-sheet stapling, saddle-stitched booklet-finishing capabilities, post-process document insertion, "C" and "Z" folding and 2/3-hole punching.

Document Insertion Unit/Folding Unit provides the capability to insert pre-printed cover sheets into job streams for enhanced productivity and the ability to "C" fold LTR-R sized documents for insertion into envelopes and "Z" fold 11" x 17", LGL, or LTR-R sized documents for easy collation into document sets.

With a standard paper capacity of 4,150 sheets, users have a choice between two paper decks, including a large size paper deck with support for up to 11" x 17" size paper, to expand paper capacity to a maximum of 7,650 sheets.

Incorporates Canon's IH (Induction Heating) Fusing Technology to significantly reduce energy consumption and improve productivity.

Advanced Copy features such as Job Block Combination, Cascade/Remote Copy, and Express Copy help speed job programming and complete document sets.

The Mail Box functions of the imageRUNNER 5075 serve as a centralized system for information-sharing, on-site document storage and print-on-demand applications.

Users can choose either the Canon UFR II/PCL/PS Printer Kit-R2 or the imagePASS-S2. The Canon controller delivers printing capabilities with support for PCL 5e/6, PostScript® 3™ emulation, and Canon's UFR II (Ultra Fast Rendering) technology. For those users with higher bandwidth requirements, the imagePASS-S2 features its own hardware dedicated to printing applications, and supports genuine Adobe® PostScript 3 and PCL 5e/6.

The imageRUNNER 5075 can be equipped with an optional single-line Super G3 fax board for the ability to transmit faxes at impressive speeds.

With its Universal Send™ technology, the imageRUNNER 5075 allows users to scan directly into the device for distribution to multiple destinations. Advanced Send modes such as Searchable PDF (OCR), Encrypted PDF and Digital Signature PDF modes can be added for an even more sophisticated solution.

With Remote UI, features and functions of the imageRUNNER 5075 are controlled and accessed right from a user's desktop.

Supported Applications

Booklet Making

Users can create saddle-stitched and folded booklets in copy and print applications. The process for making booklets on the device is simple. Place originals in the document feeder, select booklet from the display panel and press start. The device will take care of the rest by automatically arranging scanned document pages in the correct order, stitching, and then folding the document to create a fully completed booklet.

Chapterization

The imageRUNNER device provides end users with the ability to add chapter separators in their copied or printed documents. Copy applications such as tab separated journals, books, technical specifications, and other applications requiring topic separation can be easily completed as this application gives users the ability to decide where the chapter separator is to be placed within a document.

Copy Reservation

The Copy Reservation function is ideally suited for driving enhanced throughput and productivity when copying. Using the Copy Reservation system, end users can scan copy jobs, complete with their settings into memory while a current copy or print job is being output. Up to 20 copy jobs can be stored to Image Server memory at a time. This is a significant benefit to high-volume application environments and to customers who use both copying and printing functions of the device.

Cover/Sheet Insertion

Cover/Sheet Insertion enables users to automatically add front and/or back covers, as well as insertion sheets to copy sets, using a different paper stock than the pages used for the body of the document. They may be printed on the front, back, duplexed, or left blank. This application reduces turnaround time and cost for professionally-printed document sets.

Department ID Mode

Department ID Mode controls access to the device, allowing administrators to set passwords and limits for output volumes by document type and function (Print, Copy, Scan), for individual users and departments.

Device Information Delivery Function

The Device Information Delivery Function dramatically reduces administrator burdens when managing multiple devices or entire fleets of imageRUNNER devices from anywhere on the network. By designating a reference machine the administrator makes all settings or desire modifications to a single imageRUNNER installed on the network. The reference machine then distributes the data to other specified imageRUNNER devices on the network.

Encrypted Secured Print Software

This is an Add-in to the printer driver that enables users to encrypt print data sent from a computer over the network using the Secured Print function, and decrypt it at the device.

Forms Composition

Forms Composition registers a previously scanned image in the memory of the machine, and superimposes it on the image of an original.

Job Block Combination

With Job Block Combination copy feature, you can scan multiple batches of originals with different copy settings and print them as one document. This can help create and efficient print process where the time to manually sort through and combine documents is eliminated, leading to better office productivity and management of print output.

Job Build

Job Build allows users to combine or "build" batches of originals from different sources including feeder and platen-based originals into one job, eliminating the need to hand-marry the output. Hardcopy originals with total page quantities that exceed the Document Feeder's capacity can also be scanned in batches. The number of pages that can be combined in Job Build mode are limited only by the amount of available memory on the machine.

Mail Box Functionality

The Mailbox Function enables users to create up to 100 individual repositories for their documents on the imageRUNNER device's internal Image Server. Documents may be stored in a user mailbox for a couple of days or permanently. This functionality not only gives users the ability to scan and store documents, but also allows print jobs to be sent to a mailbox and combined with other documents for uniform output.

Page and Copy Set Numbering

Allows users to paginate from the walk-up copy mode. Documents scanned via the feeder or platen can be paginated. Users can paginate documents using numbers only, numbers with hyphens or total page numbers as well as select the starting page, font size and color (black or white). Users can also add alphanumeric characters to page numbers.

Scan-Once-Print-Many

Scan-Once-Print-Many technology permits the device to scan originals into memory only one time, producing multiple copies from the resident stored image. Since originals placed in the document feeder are processed only once, the result is less wear and tear on the originals, document feeder and scan mechanisms. The result is a quieter, more productive system with less opportunity for a malfunction.

Secure Watermark

With the optional Secure Watermark Kit enabled on your imageRUNNER device, you can make copies and print documents with hidden text embedded within the background. When copies are made, the hidden text will appear. This helps prevent security leaks caused by the unauthorized copying of confidential information such as personal data, certificates, and more.

Tab Creation and Insertion

The tab creation and insertion allows users to copy and print onto tab paper as well as insert tab paper into finished documents. Up to 100 tabs can be inserted per document.

Universal Send™

Canon's Universal Send technology transforms the imageRUNNER devices into digital communications centers, enabling mass, multiple-routed document distribution tasks in one simple operation. Universal Send functions include the ability to send scanned documents as e-mail attachments, send scanned documents as Internet fax (I-fax) messages, send scanned documents to databases and file servers for storage, and send scanned documents to a Mailbox for sharing, printing or sending at a later time.

Watermark and Print Date

With Watermark and Print Date, you can print the date, preset watermarks, or customized watermarks in any position on copied output.

Web Access Software

The optional Web Access Software offers the industry's first Web-browsing function, allowing users to call up Internet or intranet data on the user-interface panel. This supports information retrieval from on-site locations without the need for a PC, as well as the printing out of in-house administrative application forms and documents.

Universal Send PDF Security

Digital signature modes allow users to verify the origin of the document, track revisions and prevent security issues such as impersonation and unauthorized alteration of documents. PDF Encryption mode allows users to add a layer of protection to sent PDF files by setting a password that limits the recipients ability to open, print or edit the document.

Braille Label Kit-A1

The Braille Label Kit-A1 contains transparent Braille labels that affix to each hard key on the control panel except for the numeric keys. This is due to the conventional layout of the numeric keypad, which already has a protruded dot on the "five key," providing familiar entry for the visually impaired. This kit provides visually impaired users with improved access to copy and fax functions.

The Braille Label Kit-A1 can be used with imageRUNNER devices, as well as some Color Laser Copiers, NP Copier products, and LASER CLASS Facsimile.

Application Software

Barcode Printing Kit-A1

Provides the ability to print bar codes on output. Requires UFRII/PCL/PS Printer Kit-R1. Activated through the License Management System.

Secure Watermark - A1

Enables you to embed hidden text in the background of copies/prints/scans. The embedded text will appear when copies of the document are made. Activated through the License Management System.

Remote Operators Software Kit-A2

A remote access that mirrors the device control panel functionality on a personal computer so seated users can program the system. Activated through the License Management System.

Universal Send PDF Security Feature Set-A1

Device Signature mode enables user to add a digital signature to PDF data, which enables the recipient to verify which device scanned it and tracks if the file has ben altered. With Encrypted PDF, a password can be set so that only users who enter the correct password can open, print, or edit the received PDF file.

Digital User Signature PDF Kit-A1

Digital User Signature Mode enables the user to add a digital signature to PDF dadta, which enables the recipient to verify which user scanned it and whether the document has been altered.

Encrypted Secured Print Software-C1

Encrypted Secured Print function provides two layers of security. The document data itself will be encrypted prior to being sent to the imageRUNNER/Color imageRUNNER/imagePRESS devices. The encrypted data is also password protected so that a correct password is needed to print out. After printed out, the job data will be deleted.

Access Management System Kit-A1

Administrators have control over access to the imageRUNNER Series and its functions for even greater security and cost control at both the user and group levels.

Hot Folders

Hot Folders includes virtual printers. This utility enhances productivity by automating the job submission process and reducing errors caused by mistakes in the job setup. Hot folders allow you to drop files into a folder with pre-determined print settings.

HDD Data Erase Kit-A1

Temporary data will be overwritten and erased immediately after job completion and permanent data such as Mail Box information will be overwritten and erased after it is deleted. Three methods can be used: Overwrite Null Data One Time, Overwrite Random Data One Time or Overwrite Random Data three times.

Universal Send Searchable PDF Kit-A1

Enables the device to send PDF documents that can be searched using OCR technology.

Web Access Software-F1

This utility allows the imageRUNNER to view Web pages and downloadable PDF files directly from the device control panel and print these pages when the device is configured with the appropriate print controller.

The Captaris Fax Integration for MEAP tightly integrates with Canon imageRUNNER devices to consolidate faxing services on the network and provide users easy access to the extended document delivery features of RightFax and FaxPress directly at the Canon imageRUNNER.

As the first two-way dynamic integration between RightFax and Canon devices, the Fax integration for MEAP gives users both walk-up access and a central point of control for hard-copy and electronic faxing.
