The imageRUNNER C5068 model delivers impressive, high volume, black-and-white letter-sized performance at speeds of up to 68 pages per minute (ppm) and color output when you need it at up to 16 ppm (letter). For faster copying and capturing of black -and - white or color documents, the standard 100-sheet Duplexing Automatic Document Feeder can scan originals at speeds of up to 70 ipm (impressions per minute) at 300 dpi. And with high-capacity finishing options, professional output is available for any project - in black and white or with a touch of color for even greater appeal.

The imageRUNNER C5068 device is powered by Canon's proprietary imageCHIP System Architecture, which delivers exceptional multifunction processing and full concurrency for maximum productivity. Built upon the market-leading capabilities of the highly -successful imageRUNNER and Color imageRUNNER devices, the imageRUNNER C5068 device can handle the mid-high volume black-and-white demands of corporate environments that also require occasional color output.
The imageRUNNER model provides memory capacity of up to 1.5GB, an 80GB hard drive, and Canon's innovative MEAP® (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) technology for customized workflows.
A fast and reliable 100-sheet Duplexing Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) enables you to efficiently scan/copy high-volume documents at up to 70 impressions per minute (ipm) at 300 dpi in black and white and color. Scan and save your originals in color, but choose to print in black and white or color depending on your situation.
The ability to deliver copy/print output at speeds of up to 68 pages-per-minute (letter) in black and white and up to 16 ppm (letter) in color output. The imageRUNNER C5068 model ships with a 100-sheet Document Feeder, standard automatic duplexing, and a paper capacity of 4,200 sheets that can be upgraded to support a maximum capacity of 7,700 sheets. The system also supports a wide variety of media including heavy paper, labels, transparencies, and tab paper. Customers have a choice of two finishers that provide extensive stacking capabilities, multi-position stapling, saddle-stitched booklet output, and optional hole punching for professional-looking output.
The imageRUNNER C5068 model can be configured with an optional print controller that enables the device to serve as a network printer. The embedded controller supports PCL 5c/6 and Canon's proprietary UFR II (Ultra Fast Rendering) language for exceptional printing performance, as well as an option for PostScript 3™ emulation. Through Canon's consistent driver architecture, users have powerful access to the many print and finishing features of the imageRUNNER C5068 model. To manage more complex workflows, the imagePASS-G1 v1.1 print server option provides support for genuine Adobe PostScript 3, PCL 5c, Command WorkStation®, and access to advanced options such as EFI® Impose and Secure Erase.
With Universal Send technology, the imageRUNNER model enables you to distribute scanned documents to multiple network destinations - such as e-mail and Internet fax addresses, local Mail Boxes, fax, network folders, and document management systems - in one simple operation. Color Universal Send offers powerful options to master creation, distribution, and archiving of your documents.
Significantly reduce large file sizes associated with color files by utilizing Canon's proprietary PDF High Compression technology. And with Canon's exclusive Trace & Smooth PDF feature, text, line art and graphics in a scanned PDF document can be converted to scalable artwork (vector graphics data). The vector graphics are less jagged at the edge and can be manipulated in Adobe Illustrator to create elements for other documents.
The Universal Send PDF Security Feature Set (optional) provides advanced options to help prevent impersonation, unauthorized alteration, or interception of your documents. With Digital Device Signature mode, recipients can be assured of the originating device of documents. You can also protect the contents of your documents with the Encrypted PDF feature, and secure them with a password to restrict access, editing, and printing. The Digital User Signature option enables verification of your identity to recipients by adding your digital certificate to your documents.
Supports a host of Internet-ready capabilities, including the optional Web Access Software that allows users to call up Internet or intranet data right on the user-interface, and print Web Pages and downloadable PDF files when configured with the Canon print controller. The Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) protocol, enables you to securely send documents to a shared storage service over the Internet.
The imageRUNNER model is designed to make you more productive with an easy-to-read full color touch panel, interactive help menus and more useful documentation and tutorials. Remote tools enable you to monitor and perform operations on the device from any computer on the network.

- Braille Label Kit-A1
- The Braille Label Kit-A1 contains transparent Braille labels that affix to each hard key on the control panel except for the numeric keys. This is due to the conventional layout of the numeric keypad, which already has a protruded dot on the "five key," providing familiar entry for the visually impaired. This kit provides visually impaired users with improved access to copy and fax functions.
- The Braille Label Kit-A1 can be used with imageRUNNER devices, as well as some Color Laser Copiers, NP Copier products, and LASER CLASS Facsimile.

- Provides the ability to print bar codes on output. Requires UFRII/PCL/PS Printer Kit-R1. Activated through the License Management System.
- Secure Watermark - A1
- Enables you to embed hidden text in the background of copies/prints/scans. The embedded text will appear when copies of the document are made. Activated through the License Management System.
- Remote Operators Software Kit-A2
- A remote access that mirrors the device control panel functionality on a personal computer so seated users can program the system. Activated through the License Management System.

- Digital User Signature Mode enables the user to add a digital signature to PDF dadta, which enables the recipient to verify which user scanned it and whether the document has been altered.

- Allows the user to view internet and intranet sites directly from the device control panel.
- Encrypted Secured Print Software-C1
- Encrypted Secured Print function provides two layers of security. The document data itself will be encrypted prior to being sent to the imageRUNNER/Color imageRUNNER/imagePRESS devices. The encrypted data is also password protected so that a correct password is needed to print out. After printed out, the job data will be deleted.
- Access Management System Kit-A1
- Administrators have control over access to the imageRUNNER Series and its functions for even greater security and cost control at both the user and group levels.
- HDD Data Erase Kit-A1
- Temporary data will be overwritten and erased immediately after job completion and permanent data such as Mail Box information will be overwritten and erased after it is deleted. Three methods can be used: Overwrite Null Data One Time, Overwrite Random Data One Time or Overwrite Random Data three times.
- HDD Data Encryption Kit-A1
- Encrypts image data before writing to the HDD. Provides protection for both temporary and permanent data equipped with Canon MFP Security Chip 1.00 which is Common Criteria Certified.
