[edit] Manufacturer Provided Specifications and Description

  • OVERVIEW

Experience a revolution in headphone design. These lightweight Personal Field Speakers deliver pristine clarity and pounding bass via an innovative suspended sphere that directs music to your ears like a concert hall.

  • FEATURES

Sony has redefined sound with the lightweight PFR-V1 Personal Field Speaker. Worn as headphones, the spheres recreate two perfectly positioned speakers, resulting in a one-of-a-kind audio experience. As the first in the industry to separate bass from mid and treble frequencies, Sony has introduced better sound to the audiophile. The Personal Field Speaker comes with ultra large 21mm drivers which produce an extended frequency playback of 35 to 25KHz for impressive sound reproduction. The die-cast aluminum speakers appear to float near your ears while the silicon rubber fittings position the sphere in a way that delivers music toward your ear, much like a concert hall.

  • Bass Reflex Duct: By using the extended Bass reflex duct the PFR-V1 Speakers give you a bass sound that goes directly into your ear and even allows you to feel it without high volumes.
  • Full open sound design: When you listen to headphones you can get a great sound but headphones tend to give you a different sound characteristic then listening to a live performance or good speakers. The open sound design delivers the sound without ear pressure that is created by more traditional headphones that push the sound into your ears. The PFR-V1 Field Speakers gives you sound more like being in a concert hall than traditional headphones.
  • Neodymium magnet: This magnet type is a stronger magnet that allows for the bass to be deeper and more powerful than traditional magnets.
